Buyer FAQ
Straight answers to what resellers actually ask before spending money on a lot.
Buying and manifests
Can I get a manifest before I buy?
Where a manifest exists for a lot, we will send it on request. Not every lot has one. Unmanifested lots are marked as such and priced lower precisely because you are buying without an itemised list.
How accurate is the unit count?
Counts on mixed lots are approximate unless the listing says the lot is manifested. Treat the stated count as a working figure for your costings, not a guarantee to the unit.
Can I choose what goes in the pallet?
No. Lots are sold as they were bought. You choose the category and the grade, not the individual items. If you need specific stock, tell us what you are after and we will let you know if a suitable lot comes in.
Do you sell single items?
We sell by the pallet and by the truckload. Some smaller lots and boxes are listed where available.
Condition and what to expect
Will everything work?
No, and any supplier who tells you otherwise is selling you something else. Customer return lots contain items that were returned for a reason. Test electricals, check for missing accessories, and build a write-off rate into your pricing. That is the normal economics of the category.
What write-off rate should I expect?
It varies by grade and category, and we will not quote you a percentage as if it were a guarantee. Overstock lots run cleanest. Customer returns sit in the middle. Unmanifested lots have the widest spread. Ask us about the specific lot and we will tell you what we know about it.
Are items tested or refurbished?
No. Lots are sold in the condition they were received. Anything described as tested or refurbished will say so explicitly on the listing.
Is there a warranty on the goods?
Liquidation stock is sold without manufacturer warranty support unless a listing states otherwise. Your rights against us under the Australian Consumer Law still apply, and are set out on the returns page.
Freight and delivery
How much is delivery?
Nothing extra. Freight is included in the listed price for delivery anywhere in Australia.
Do I need a forklift?
No. Tail-lift delivery is standard and the pallet is lowered to ground level. If you do have a dock or forklift, tell us and we will book accordingly.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on where you are. We confirm a realistic window when your lot is dispatched, and send tracking details once the carrier has it.
What if it arrives damaged?
Note the damage on the delivery paperwork before you sign, photograph the pallet before unwrapping, and contact us within 24 hours. Without a note at delivery, freight claims are very hard to win.
Payment and orders
How do I pay?
Payment methods available to you are shown at checkout. Availability of a lot is confirmed before payment is taken.
Can I cancel after ordering?
Contact us as soon as possible. Once a lot has been dispatched it cannot be cancelled, because the freight is committed and the lot is on a truck.
Do you sell to buyers outside Australia?
Yes, contact us about export lots and the categories and volumes you need.
Still unsure? Email info@liquidationshopaustralia.com with what you sell and what you have room for, and we will tell you honestly whether a lot suits you.
